Draft itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Srinagar

  •  Arrival at Srinagar Airport, transfer to a houseboat.
  • Freshen up & relax.
  • Explore Srinagar market.
  • Briefing, Riding Gear Distribution & Dinner and overnight stay at the houseboat.
  • Place of Stay: New Jersey Houseboat / Similar

Day 2: Srinagar Local Sightseeing

  • Breakfast & Motorcycle Trials
  • Sightseeing
  • Evening – Inauguration followed by dinner
  • Place of Stay: New Jersey Houseboat / Similar

Day 3: Srinagar to Kargil via Sonamarg, Drass & Zojila Pass

  • Flag off
  • Journey to Kargil via Sonamarg and Drass.
  • Check-in & Dinner at Kargil hotel.
  • Place of Stay: The Kargil / Similar

Day 4: Kargil to Leh via Namika La & Fotu La

  • Departure for Leh via Lamayuru, Mulbek, Namika La, and Fotu La.
  • Visit to Magnetic Hills – A gravity hill
  • Reach Leh and check-in at the hotel.
  • Place of Stay: the Bodhi Tree / Similar

Day 5: Leh to Shey-Thiksay-Hemis-Stok

  • Visit monasteries including Thiksey and Hemis.
  • Explore Shey & Stok palace
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

Day 6: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

  • Travel to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La.
  • We will ride through the World’s Second Highest Motorable Pass – Khardungla
  • Visit Shanti Stupa and Sand Dunes in Hunder.
  • Explore Diskit village and monastery.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Diskit.
  • Place of Stay: The Creek / Similar

Day 7: Nubra Valley to Siachen base camp and back

  • Journey to Siachen Base Camp visit.
  • Return to Diskit.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Diskit.
  • Place of Stay: The Creek / Similar

Day 8: Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso via Shyok Valley

  • Travel to Pangong Tso via Agam and Shyok villages.
  • Check-in at the campsite by the lake.
  • Place of Stay: Misty Hills / Similar

Day 9: Pangong to Hanle via Rezang La War Memorial

  • Visit Rezang La War Memorial.
  • Lunch at Loma/Tsaga village.
  • Arrival at Hanle village and check-in at a homestay.
  • Place of Stay: Umilngla Residency/Similar

Day 10: Hanle to Umling La and return

  • Journey to Umling La, the world’s highest motorable road.
  • Return to Hanle and stay overnight.

Day 11: Hanle to Tso Moriri via Tsaga La

  • Travel to Tso Moriri via enchanting plains.
  • Enjoy the serene beauty of Tso Moriri.
  • Check-in at a homestay in Korzok.

Day 12: Tso Moriri to Leh

  • Journey back to Leh via Namshang La Pass.
  • Visit the Hot Springs – Puga Valley – The only geothermal region in Ladakh
  • Evening at leisure in Leh.
  • Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 13: Sightseeing & Valedictory

Day 14: Departure from Leh

  •  Check-out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for departure.

Event Highlights:

  • “Ride for Rotary” is an event involving motorcycle riding and four-wheeler driving across India.
  • This initiative is organized by Rotary District 3181 to support and strengthen The Rotary Foundation while celebrating Rotary Fellowship.
  • You will be riding on the highest motorable roads of the world
  • Accommodation will be provided at best possible hotels and camps
  • The meticulously planned route will showcase diverse landscapes, including valleys, lakes, mostaries
  • The ride will be supported by medical staff, helpers, mechanics, and support vehicles.
  • A vehicle will transport participants’ luggage.
  • The bike and four-wheeler convoy will be under the guidance of experienced crew members.

Participation Fee:

  • USD 4800 + 18% GST: Solo Rider – Single Room
  • USD 8000 + 18% GST: Couple Rider – Single Bike – Twin Sharing Room
  • USD 8500 + 18% GST: Couple Rider – Double Bikes – Twin Sharing Room
  • USD 4200 + 18% GST: 4 Wheeler Participant – No Self Drive – Passenger – Single Room
  • USD 7000 + 18% GST: 4 Wheeler Participant – Couple – No Self Drive – Passenger – Twin Sharing Room

Note:

  • We need Fitness certificate from participants to ride Himalayas
  • Participants need to reach Srinagar – There are direct flights from Delhi to Srinagar
  • There will be oxygen cylinders

  • Obtain an International Driving License
  • Fitness Certificate to ride in Himalayas
  • Secure personal insurance
  • Bring a riding helmet (if participating on a two-wheeler)
